British Art Network research groups focus on specific areas of British art. The programmes of activity are led and hosted by network members.
The Emerging Curators Group is a supportive forum for the next generation of curators in the UK, enabling peers to come together and share experiences and thinking around curating British art.
BAN supports an annual conference, inviting eminent curators, academics and critical thinkers to develop programmes addressing a theme of current interest in the field of British art curating. It also collaborates with other organisations in delivering additional conference programmes of relevance to the membership and to the sector at large.
BAN supports a range of seminar series through annual bursaries and collaboration with other organisations. Led by Network members and addressing critical themes in the field of British art curating, these seminars are intended to incubate, test out and disseminate new thinking.
