Alfredo Cramerotti is a cultural entrepreneur working in contemporary art, the verse and mass media culture. He is Director of Mostyn, Wales; co-Director of IAM Infinity Art Museum; Art Adviser to the UK Government Art Collection, British Council Visual Arts Acquisition Committee, Italian Council program 2022-24, and Art Institutions of the 21st Century Foundation.
Besides leading the program of Mostyn, he curated major exhibitions such as four National Pavilions a/o Collateral Events at the Venice Biennale; the ongoing exhibition project Ideal-Types; large scale shows at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, ISMAR Venice and EXPO VIDEO Chicago; and the biennials Sequences VII in Iceland and Manifesta 8 in Spain. He curates web projects, radio, streaming and television programs and is currently immersed in new technologies such as NFT, cryptography and blockchain. He serves as President of IKT; Executive Committee Member of ICOM UK and of AICA; Co-Chair of VAGW; and Member of CIMAM.
He holds a PhD in Communication Design and Photography, has published over 200 texts on art, media and curatorial practice, is Editor-in-Chief of the Critical Photography book series and co-Founder of the publishing platform xxnft (women and female-identifying artists working in NFT). His own publications include Curating the Image: Notebook for a Visual Journey (2020); Forewords: Hyperimages and Hyperimaging (2018); Unmapping the City: Perspectives of Flatness (2010); and Aesthetic Journalism: How to Inform without Informing (2009).
