Anisha Parmar is a UK-based Creative & Cultural Practitioner, Curator, and Jewellery Designer, working at the intersection of adornment, identity, and storytelling. With a heritage spanning three continents, her work explores how adornment serves as a powerful tool for resistance, cultural connection, and re-framing narratives. Rooted in South Asian identity, Anisha uses jewellery, curation, and consultancy to challenge colonial frameworks and build spaces for equity and belonging.
Anisha holds a Distinction in Art & Design Foundation, a First-Class Honours in Multi- Media Textiles (BA) from Loughborough University, and a Distinction in Fashion Artefact (MA) from the London College of Fashion. She is a Trustee of Derby Museums and a Fellow of the UK Creative Community Fellows programme.
Her curatorial practice focuses on decolonising collections, with projects like My Adornment Is My Power (National Trust) challenging traditional narratives around colonial heritage.
Anisha works with institutions, artists, and communities to create inclusive, ethical, and community-driven cultural experiences. Through consultancy, curation, and workshops, she fosters dialogue and cultural care, empowering diverse communities to reclaim their stories and reshape cultural engagement.
