Antonia Harrison is a curator, art historian and writer. With over 20 years’ experience of working with artists and collections in her former roles as Senior Curator at Compton Verney and at the Barbican Art Gallery, she is now working independently. With an interdisciplinary approach to curating, she is passionate about shedding new light on social history narratives, craft practice & material culture and programming ideas which investigate our relationship to the natural world. Most recently, in 2024 she curated The Glass Heart: Art, Industry & Collaboration at Two Temple Place and led a multi-site programme of engagement with the National Trust on the history and culture of apples. Previous exhibitions include A Tea Journey, The Marvellous Mechanical Museum, The Lost Words, The Arts & Crafts House: Then & Now and The Fabric of Myth. She holds an MA in History of Art & English Literature from Edinburgh University and went to Central St. Martin’s College of Art.
