Cat Dunn is a Black researcher, lecturer, and Storycatcher dedicated to effecting positive change through Indigenous curating and social justice. Rooted in her Barbadian heritage, her independent curatorial practice challenges identity and social justice narratives, creating spaces for critical dialogue and cultural understanding. Dunn’s work focuses on the lived experiences of women from the global majority, addressing themes of colonialism, slavery, racism, and feminism. Through her research and curatorial projects, she uncovers hidden or misrepresented histories, reshaping how these stories are told and understood. Central to her practice is the creation and expansion of Global Community Space—an initiative that amplifies marginalised voices and fosters meaningful connections.
