Chiara Betti is the Curatorial Research Assistant at the Society of Antiquaries of London, investigating the Prints & Drawings collection to identify research and digitisation projects. Chiara is completing her Collaborative Doctoral Partnership PhD at the School of Advanced Study and the Bodleian Libraries. Her research centres on the provenance, manufacture and collecting of the 750 printing plates bequeathed by the antiquary Richard Rawlinson to the University of Oxford.
Chiara previously worked as a Print Cataloguer at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and recently curated a print exhibition, Pressing Images, at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. Her research interests include British and Northern European early-modern prints, the history of printmaking, the history of collecting and antiquarianism.
