Daré Dada is a curator and the Founding Director of Rathbone Institute in Fitzrovia, London. An institute founded to facilitate an artist’s and practitioner’s integrity by providing them with a space and platform to convey the urgency and importance of their practice. Programmes involve exhibitions, artist publications, performances, film screenings, presentations and talks.
With an interest in institution building and building scholarship for artistic practices, Daré is a visiting critic at the Gasworks Foundation, Studio Voltaire, Bard College, and Goldsmiths. He has also written for émergent Magazine, Elephant Magazine, and Dazed.
Daré is a recent alumnus of the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College in New York, Annandale on Hudson. His previous work experience encompasses various cultural environments in curatorial, research and archival positions, ranging from Maureen Paley to the Thomas Dane Gallery, Goldsmiths CCA, the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, Fondazione Prada, Performa and OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture).
