Dawn Kanter

Dr Dawn Kanter has worked in Cultural Heritage, Digital Content and Digital Humanities.

In 2024, Dawn completed her PhD on the topic of British portraiture 1900-1960. Her research focused on the portrait sitting as a site of social and economic exchange, and involved the construction of a portrait-sitting database.

Prior to her PhD, Dawn worked in digital roles at museums, including the National Portrait Gallery and Imperial War Museums.
