Elisabetta Garletti

Elisabetta Garletti is an AHRC-funded, PhD candidate in the Department of History of Art at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on gender representation in contemporary British moving image art, with a particular interest in how representations of femininity are being reconfigured in response to queer, trans*, post-feminist and posthuman discourses. She obtained her BA (2013-17) in Modern and Medieval Languages and her MPhil (2018-19) in History of Art from the University of Cambridge. Her research interests include: the relationship between feminism and artistic practice; queer theory; moving image art and experimental cinema; performativity and gender; posthumanism.
