Emalee Beddoes (she/her) is Curator of Collections and Engagement at Hereford Museums Service, where she leads the arts program for the museum’s redevelopment. Her work focuses on research through co-production, collaborating with artists and communities to explore collections. She has a particular interest in folk art, funny art, and fostering arts ecologies in rural centres.
Previously, Emalee curated at The Wilson in Cheltenham, Birmingham Museums Trust, Museums Worcester, and Division of Labour Gallery. Exhibitions include Radev at The Wilson, We are Birmingham, and Women Power Protest at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
She studied History of Art at the University of Birmingham and the University of Plymouth, and later Heritage Management and Leadership at the University of Worcester. Emalee was part of the inaugural British Art Network Early Career Curators group from 2015 to 2017.
