Frances Forbes-Carbines

Frances Forbes-Carbines is a freelance arts researcher, writer and cultural consultant. She received a Distinction for her MA in Classics from the University of Bristol, and has worked for organisations including the British Council, the Association of British Orchestras and Historic England. She has written for publications including The London MagazineAntigone JournalArtReview, and Observer and her work has appeared in various journals.

Frances’ research interests include the reception of Greek and Roman art in the nineteenth to twenty first centuries; the decline of British biodiversity; cultural heritage and the history of life modelling as a cornerstone of artistic practice.
