Hector Campbell

Hector Campbell is an art historian, writer and curator based in South London. In 2023, he co-founded Soup Gallery in Elephant & Castle. He has written for numerous international and UK galleries, as well as for a wide range of publications. He currently published a weekly email newsletter, The Shock of the Now, which includes Recommended Exhibitions & Artist Opportunities. Hector has served as a guest-lecturer and guest-tutor at many London art schools, and mentors on both the Plop Residency and Good Eye Projects residency programmes. Finally, he is a founding member of Collective Ending HQ, a collectively run studio and gallery complex in Deptford, South East London.
