Klara Ferm grew up in a small village called Öjebyn, in the north of Sweden.
In 2016, she moved to Plymouth, England, to study a Bachelor in Art Photography from Plymouth College of Art. She was rewarded a 1st Class Honours Degree with a reward in creative achievement.
Currently Klara is finishing her Master program in Curatorial Practices at Bath Spa University, investigating the role of care in the British, and international, contemporary art world, and focusing on the complex relationships between artist, curator, audience and art institution.
As an emerging curator, Klara wonders what she can contribute and alternate in the existing structures, without rejecting what has been, and instead learning from history.
