Leah Wild

Leah Wild (she/her) is a PhD student at the University of Cambridge working on miniature votive offerings in the temples of Demeter in ancient Greece. Her work focuses on women’s religious experience through the lens of the material remains they left behind. She has co-curated a number of small temporary exhibitions, most recently Voicing Objects at the Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which examined women’s voices in the ancient world through displays of ancient artefacts alongside the work of contemporary British artist Olivia Turner. She has previously worked as a tour guide for the group Uncomfortable Cambridge, which aims to shine a light on histories which are often under-discussed and spark ‘uncomfortable’ conversations. She is also the Graduate Representative for the Museum of Classical Art and Archaeology in Cambridge.
