Leo Hajducki (she/they) is a curator, artist, and advocate for accessibility and social and environmental justice in the arts. Currently pursuing an MLitt in Curatorial Practice in Contemporary Art at the University of Glasgow and Glasgow School of Art, Leo holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Edinburgh, which informs their interdisciplinary approach to curatorial practice.
Leo’s work emphasises multisensory and interdisciplinary engagement, creating adaptive spaces that challenge institutional hierarchies and prioritise accessibility. Their largest project to date, Synaesthesia at Summerhall (2023), was a collective exhibition featuring 21 neurodivergent artists. The immersive experience explored themes of neurodivergence, sensory overload and mental health using soundscapes, visuals, interactive elements and mixed-media art to engage audiences on multiple levels.
A member of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab and Neuk Collective, Leo’s practice is inspired by feminist, anti-capitalist, and decolonial approaches. They are particularly interested in the potential of publications, sound, and non-traditional exhibition spaces to foster systemic change and amplify underrepresented voices. Through their work, Leo aims to create equitable, inclusive, and sustainable futures in the arts and beyond.
