Maria Goldson

Maria Goldson is a Buckinghamshire-based sculptor and founder of ReshapingArt.com, an online gallery dedicated to transforming narratives through sculpture. In addition to her artistic career, she holds a senior management role in the NHS, with a particular interest in addressing health inequalities and improving patient safety for diverse communities. Previously, Maria worked with the Metropolitan Police Service, where she contributed to organisational change by introducing community advisory groups in response to the McPherson Report.

Maria’s sculptures reinterpret British cultural traditions from a modern perspective, highlighting inspirational figures of colour and animals to challenge stereotypes and foster empathy. Her work has been featured in the Visual Art Journal (September 2024) and exhibited at the 2024 Chianciano Biennale and International Open Art Competition. She also prioritises accessibility, crafting sculptures that can be experienced by the visually impaired, and actively seeks commissions aligned with her commitment to social justice and equality.

By joining the British Art Network, Maria hopes to share her hands-on experience while learning from others, exploring how heritage can be reinterpreted for contemporary audiences, with a special focus on underrepresented communities.
