Mark Bills is Director of Gainsborough’s House, Sudbury, where he is leading a major new build due to open in 2022. Formerly he was Curator of Watts Gallery and Senior Curator of Paintings, Prints and Drawings at the Museum of London. He trained as an artist at the Slade before studying art history and has published widely on aspects of eighteenth and nineteenth century British art. He has curated and contributed to exhibitions nationally and internationally.
