Michael Paraskos is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Art History at Imperial College London, where he also oversees the adult education programme Imperial after:hours. Additionally, he teaches art history for conservation and heritage carving students as a visiting tutor at City and Guilds of London Art School, and he is a Visiting Professor in Art History at York St John University.
Michael originally studied for his undergraduate degree in art history at the University of Leeds, before completing his MA by Research, also at Leeds, exploring the connections between German expressionism and early twentieth-century British art. He took his doctorate degree at the University of Nottingham, examining the aesthetic theories of Herbert Read, whose ideas remain core to his interests in British art.
