Narisse Philip is a Dominican artist who creates with her whole heart – through a camera lens, handwritten lyrics, or resin poured like liquid dreams. She’s the kind of person who captures transient beauty; nature’s quiet drama, the stillness between breaths, then turns that moment into a photograph, a song, or a necklace that holds the memory.
Self-taught and deeply intuitive, her work explores belonging, quiet emotions, and the stories we carry in our bones. Whether she’s crafting jewellery, writing or capturing Dominica’s magic in a snapshot, there’s always a thread of honesty and tenderness running through it.
She believes art is best made in community – which is why she’s an active member of Dominica’s Waitukubuli Artist Association, where conversations about Caribbean identity and creative freedom fuel her. More than anything, Narisse wants her work to feel like a conversation: to celebrate self-expression, embrace imperfections, and remind people they’re not alone in their messy, beautiful humanity.
