Rosanna Harrison

Rosanna Harrison is a curator, arts learning facilitator, writer, and historic film production advisor, with a specialist focus on the research and interpretation of British mobile printed narrative art (e.g., satiric fan leaf imagery) and illustrative, storytelling art. Rosanna currently works as Learning Facilitator and Carbon Literacy Trainer at National Museum Cardiff (Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales), alongside completing frequent roles with the Events and Art Departments. Previous positions have included Art Curatorial internships at National Museum Cardiff and Whitworth Art Gallery, as well as acting as Administration Assistant for the co-curated 2017 Who Decides?  contemporary art exhibition. She gained her PhD from the University of Birmingham (2019), which explored the overlooked status of printed fans in art history by revealing the ways in which their study enriches current understanding of eighteenth-century print culture. Since the early 2010’s, Rosanna has written articles on several platforms about enhancing visitor engagement with objects in museums in different ways; from small decorative animal ceramics to large eighteenth-century landscape painting. She is passionate about curatorial projects and innovative exhibition/learning interpretation that engages diverse audiences, reveals hidden stories, and democratises art to make it as accessible and relevant as possible
