Rowland Yohanna Goyit

Rowland Yohanna Goyit is an art historian, curator, teacher and cultural steward dedicated to amplifying the voices of underrepresented artists. He is interest in neurodiversity research, visual culture and art criticism.

His curatorial work creates immersive experiences, challenging traditional perspectives, while stimulating meaningful dialogues that explore the intersection of art, identity, and social perceptions, often featuring works by artists from diverse backgrounds and experiences. He designs exhibitions that investigate new dimensions, inviting engagements on a critical level. He has worked on numerous group and solo art exhibitions, public programmes, and cultural initiatives that have pushed the boundaries of art curation, championing a more equitable and vibrant discourse.

Goyit continuously seeks to expand the trajectory of art education through the implementation of British Curriculum on Art and Design in schools. He is passionate about exploring innovative strategies that go beyond conventional methods, allowing his learners to showcase growth and abilities in ways that align with their unique talents and interests. He has a personal commitment to collaboration, empathy, and inclusivity, fostering a sense of community and creative exchange among learners.

Goyit is currently a postgraduate student at the Department of Fine Art, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
