Surya Adiwijaya

Surya Adiwijaya is a printmaker, practitioner-researcher, and art historian from Indonesia, with a Bachelor’s degree from ISI Yogyakarta. He currently focuses on the history, significance, economy, and politics of Artist-Run Initiatives (ARIs). As a co-founding member of Marabunta, an Artist-run Initiative from Indonesia, Surya actively contributes to collaborative projects and exhibitions. He is currently seeking opportunities to research ARIs globally to understand their impact and development across different cultural and historical contexts. He also runs Absurdja Printmaking Studio, an artist-run space in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
