Tinashe Mushakavanhu

Tinashe Mushakavanhu is a writer and curator whose work merges archival research, book history, and exhibition-making as a form of public reading. Engaging with historical texts, print culture, and visual storytelling, he re-imagines how audiences interact with literary and cultural archives. His curatorial approach brings hidden narratives into public spaces, creating immersive experiences that challenge conventional modes of reading and interpretation. He is currently a Research Associate with the African Studies Centre, University of Oxford. His forthcoming book, The Stone Philosophers, is part art history, part institutional biography mapping the link between a British curator and a group of Zimbabwean sculptors. He holds a PhD in English from the University of Kent.
