Valeria Nikitina

Valeria Nikitina is a London-based art curator with a diverse background in curating exhibitions and producing cultural projects globally. She began her curatorial journey at Altmans Gallery, working on gallery and online exhibitions featuring modernist masters like Picasso, Chagall, and Matisse among others. Later, she joined the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture, and Design, where she specialised in producing special projects that explored the intersection of art, architecture, and urbanism.

She holds a BA in Advertising and Public Relations (HSE University, Moscow) and a Certificate in Photography in Media (Rodchenko Art School). She has curated exhibitions such as Jokes Everywhere (Feelium Gallery, London) and Happily Ever After (St. Margaret’s House, London), showcasing emerging and established talent across various media. Passionate about integrating art into environments, she has collaborated on projects like the Resonance pavilion at Archstoyanie, an international land art festival.

Her curatorial practice focuses on narrative environments – spaces that blend aesthetics and functionality to provoke thought and dialogue. Valeria is committed to bridging cultural contexts and engaging audiences through meaningful educational initiatives, while exploring themes that resonate with contemporary societal issues.
