The Yale Center for British Art invites applications for its Residential Awards program for the period of 1 January – 30 June 2026.
The YCBA offers short-term residential awards to academics, doctoral candidates, artists, curators, and writers to access the YCBA’s collections and library. Awards may be held for up to 30 days. Awardees are given a dedicated working space in the museum’s Reference Library and encouraged to participate in events and programs, as well as to engage with the scholarly community of the university. They are also able to take advantage of the extensive collections at other Yale museums and libraries.
Please note that residency dates for successful applicants in this application cycle may be held in the six-month period between 1 January 2026, and 30 June 2026. In fall 2025, the YCBA’s portal will reopen to accept applications for 1 July 2026 – 30 June 2027.
