Call for Papers: Northern Ireland’s Feminist and Queer Art Histories

The Northern Irish Art Network is excited to announce a call for papers for an upcoming conference organised by the Network in partnership with The Courtauld, entitled Northern Ireland’s Feminist and Queer Art Histories.

This call officially announces NIAN’s new season of activity, which will focus on gender and sexuality in Northern Irish art. The deadline for submissions is the 1st December 2021, with the conference taking place online on the 21st January 2022. We would like to invite contributions from members of the British Art Network and encourage you to both submit proposals and share with your own networks. We can confirm the event’s two keynote speakers will be Dr Fionna Barber (Reader in Art History in the Manchester School of Art) and Emma Campbell (Activist/Artist/Academic and member of Array Collective) – both members of the Northern Irish Art Network.
