In Search of Common Ground
The Stuart Hall Foundation
Conway Hall, London and Online
Saturday 17 May–Tuesday 9 September 2025
The Stuart Hall Foundation has announced its 2025 programme, In Search of Common Ground, which brings together thinkers, activists, artists, and writers to consider the role of difference in broadening the intellectual and creative scope of social justice movements working today. Drawing on Stuart Hall’s notion of identity as a profoundly creative proposition, In Search of Common Ground features Françoise Vergès, Houria Bouteldja, Gary Younge, Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor and more in a series of public conversations, workshops, and community film screenings dedicated to deepening our understanding of solidarities, the creative possibilities they hold, and the work needed to build a collective politics capable of bringing a more just world to bear.
