Curatorial Assistant, Modern British Art supported by Rosenberg Memorial Fund
Tate Britain, London
Full time (blended hours split between work and MA), fixed-term role (36 months)
Salary: £26,652 per annum
Application deadline: Saturday 29 March 2025 at midnight GMT

Tate Britain is offering an entry-level opportunity for a Curatorial Assistant, supported by the Rosenberg Memorial Fund. This pilot project offers a part-time MA in History of Art in collaboration with UCL, enabling you to study while gaining hands-on curatorial experience at Tate Britain.

In this role, you will support the curatorial team in researching, planning, and delivering exhibitions, displays and acquisitions of modern British art, spanning works made between 1900 and 1990. You will also assist with writing interpretation and summary texts, developing a deeper understanding of museum practices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong research and organisational skills, a passion for twentieth-century British art, and a commitment to contributing to the diversification of British art histories. We particularly welcome candidates who can bring fresh, underrepresented perspectives to the exhibition and collection work, especially in relation to the legacies of colonialism, ongoing racism, and societal inequalities.
