For our second meeting for Disability in British Art we will be taking in artists perspectives of difference and examining how nuanced interpretations of human experience allow us to form a better and more inclusive understanding of British art and art history.<\/p>\n
Becky Beasley and Michelle Baharier present papers on art practice as experienced through their own presence within the art world and observations of other disabled artists. By dissecting a past experience of exhibiting, Becky looks at sensitivity as a broad landscape of experience and will examine autism as an artistic dynamic. Michelle will explore the assumptions made of disabled artists and how creating new interpretations of art history can provide opportunity for them.<\/p>\n
