If so, read on!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>British Art in Motion<\/strong>&nbsp;is an exciting new film competition for undergraduate students, designed to generate creative and thought-provoking short films about significant works of British art or architecture, from all periods. It gives you the chance to explore the possibilities of film-making, and to experiment with the ways in which film can be used to offer new ways of engaging with and interpreting works of art.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition is geared to undergraduate art history, art, and film students in particular; but we also welcome applications from other UK-based undergraduate students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For ten successful entrants,&nbsp;<strong>British Art in Motion<\/strong>&nbsp;will provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>free, specialist training in film-making\u00a0<\/li><li>funds to make a short film about a work of British art<\/li><li>the chance to show the resulting film at the Paul Mellon Centre\u2019s new annual Film Festival<\/li><li>the opportunity of being named as the overall winner of the British Art in Motion student film competition for 2021\u201322<\/li><li>a prize of \u00a31000 for the winning film, and prizes for the runners up<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For more information about the competition, and how to apply, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paul-mellon-centre.ac.uk\/whats-on\/forthcoming\/britishartinmotion\">Paul Mellon Centre website.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deadline: 27 January 2022 Are you an undergraduate student, and would you be interested in making a short film about a work of British art?
