Digital co-curation

Publication of special issue of International Journal of Heritage in the Digital Era on digital co-curation and public participation, edited by K. Fouseki and K. Vacharopoulou

From the editor’s preface:

“what this volume illustrates is that for digital curation and co-curation to be theorised a comparative study of co-curation projects between the physical and the digital space would illuminate a diverse range of aspects. It also highlights that there is an urgent need to move from practice to reflective theory and then from reflective theory to practice before producing solid theoretical approaches. This volume has set the first step towards this cyclical reflective process and we hope that it will initiate further theoretical discussions on the topical subject of digital curation and co-curation.”
