Lara Wardle is Executive Director of Jerwood Foundation, a philanthropic organisation dedicated to supporting the arts in the UK, and also Curator of Jerwood Collection, a privately-owned collection of 20th and 21st century British art for public display. Lara joined Jerwood as Director in 2010 and her current role for Jerwood Collection includes: advising on acquisitions; developing national loan partnerships; and curating Jerwood Collection exhibitions and displays.
Lara has curated exhibitions including: Wilhelmina Barns-Graham: Sea, Rock, Earth and Ice at Jerwood Gallery, Hastings (2018), touring to Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield (2018-2019); Harold Gilman: Beyond Camden Town at Djanogly Gallery, Nottingham (2018 – 2019), touring to Pallant House Gallery, Chichester; and Cornwall as Crucible: Modernity and Internationalism in Mid-Century Britain at The Barber Institute of Fine Arts, Birmingham (2020).
In 2021 Lara was appointed to the Acceptance in Lieu Panel.
