Kirsty Allison is the author of Psychomachia (Wrecking Ball Press, 2021), the poetry collection Now is Now (Cold Lips, 2020), Making Something Out of Nothing (Red Gallery, 2014), a screenplay shooting 2024 with Bill Drummond (The KLF) and various lyrics for her music project, Vagrant Lovers (Blang! Records, Das Wasteland). She became the third editor-in-chief of Ambit magazine in 2020 following a residency in Berlin at Neurotitan Gallery, and performs internationally, notably at the inaugural InBetween Festival (British Council, Beirut 2022), the last Convenanza festival for Andrew Weatherall, and aside Dr John Cooper Clarke, Thurston Moore, Danielle de Picciotto and many bands. She grew up DJing with Irvine Welsh, who calls her the greatest ‘cultural beacon’, contributing and editing journalism, fiction, essays and poetry to zines, magazines, newspapers, anthologies, before founding Cold Lips (zines, catalogues, film, parties, books, podcasts, music, curation, consultancy).
