Some examples of individual Research Projects carried out by 2020-21 ECG Members can be accessed via the links below.

Janet Couloute conducted research on John Simpson’s 1827 Head of a Man (? Ira Aldridge). You can find out more about the project by listening to Janet speaking about her research on the B2P Podcast.

Jess Starns created a series of five podcasts exploring the idea of neurodiversity as an art movement.

Lisa Kennedy produced an audio work titled ‘British Identity in Focus | Lens Based Conversations’ which you can watch via YouTube.

Sam Metz
developed a project titled ‘Drawing as Stimming’ in which they worked with a small coproduction group of learning disabled and neurodivergent artists to explore artworks at Walsall New Art Gallery. A series of interpretation objects were made by Claye Bowler and the works respond to the collection at York Art Gallery, this project was supported by curator Becky Gee. You can watch a video about the objects on YouTube. The interpretation objects project was made for Drawing As Stimming funded by Necessity.
