Meet the British Art Network team, hear from previous ECG members, ask your questions, and get a taste for what it might be like to be part of the group.
You don’t need to attend a taster session to be able to apply for the ECG, but we’ve created this opportunity for people who’d like to find out more.
There are two date options. Both events will be the same, so please choose and sign up to one:
What will attending a taster session involve?
10m Welcome from the British Art Network team
10m ‘Icebreaker’ activities (you can participate anonymously)
20m Two previous ECG members speak about their experiences
20m Q&A with the team and previous ECG members
The sessions will take place on Zoom and they will be live captioned.
Come as you are, no need for formality. The taster session opportunity is just to give you a feel for the ECG – it is not part of the selection process.
We’ll mostly ask you to keep your microphone turned off, but will invite you to turn it on if you’d like to ask a question directly during the Q&As. This helps limit background noise.
You can choose to have your video on or off. We feel it helps create an atmosphere of being together when you can see people’s video, but we also understand that a lot of us are getting ‘screen fatigue’!
If at all possible, please use a laptop or desktop computer. These devices allow you to see more people on the screen and to participate more easily in some interactive functions on Zoom. If you are only able to use phone or tablet, however, that is fine!
Please have a good look at the call-out and application form in advance and think about whether you have any questions about the ECG that aren’t covered there. You can find these documents on the Funding Opportunities page.
We look forward to meeting you!
