Ellie Warren

Ellie Warren is a curator and art historian. She is also a PhD candidate in the Art History department at the University of Plymouth. Alongside her PhD studies, Ellie is a doctoral teaching assistant on Plymouth’s undergraduate Art History programme. Her postgraduate thesis explores the image of Cornwall at the Royal Academy 1885-1939, with a focus on the Newlyn School. Ellie’s academic work draws from her interests in curating Victorian art and how this differs between regional and metropolitan institutions. In 2019, she curated the exhibition “Moving Image: Bringing Newlyn School to Life” at Penlee House Gallery & Museum. Ellie has delivered several talks at The Box, Plymouth on Newlyn School works in their collection and currently works at Tate St Ives.
