Erin Shields is Assistant Curator of Fine Art at National Museums Liverpool, based at the Walker Art Gallery and Heritage Project Curator and Archivist at Royal Liverpool Golf Club. Her research interests include feminist art histories, socially-engaged art practices and improving public access to collections.
At the Walker she has assisted with research and documentation of the newly refurbished Renaissance Rediscovered galleries and is currently working with the Works on Paper collection. She is also an Artist Lead at The Royal Standard Studios and Gallery where she curates their public programme and facilitates exhibitions with emerging contemporary artists in Liverpool.
Erin studied Fine Art with History of Art at the University of Leeds from 2017-2020 and completed her Masters in Social History of Art there in 2021.
