James Trollope

James Trollope is a Writer/Curator.  James has produced four monographs on 20th Century British artists and helped curate several exhibitions. Rudolph Ihlee: The Road to Collioure, his most recent book, is the first study of the artist who was a contemporary of Stanley Spencer and Mark Gertler at the Slade. His other books have explored the work of printmakers Eric Slater (1896-1963), Arthur Rigden Read (1879-1955) and Sir Frank Short (1857-1945). He has helped curate exhibitions of the work of all four artists in England and France. He is also a regular contributor to the story section of the ArtUK website.
