Jennifer Shearman (she/her) is Head of Collection (Curator) at Queer Britain. She holds an MSc in Film, Exhibition and Curation from the University of Edinburgh and BA Hons in Film and Comparative Literature from Queen Mary, University of London. Over the past 10 years she has worked across curation and cultural production developing exhibitions, film festivals, and public programmes. Previously she was Curator, Public Programmes at Tate Britain and Tate Modern. She has held roles at the Institute of Advanced Studies (UCL), the Royal Academy of Arts, Goldsmiths (UoL) and Queen Mary (UoL). In 2016 she founded the Film London funded DISPATCH Feminist Moving Image which programmed screenings and events across London. She holds expertise in cultural production, curation, arts education, feminism, film studies and interdisciplinary approaches to art history. Her current research interests are centred around horror, queerness, pain and illness in literature & visual culture.
