Jenny Tipton

Jenny Tipton is an artist, event maker and curator. Jenny prioritises slow and caring methods of event making, and is interested in the subversive and transgressive ways in which art can incorporate humour, storytelling, and popular culture whilst fostering societal critique. Jenny established Cabbage in 2017, an artist-led platform for contemporary visual arts that programmes exhibitions and events throughout the year in Scotland. Cabbage runs an annual artist Resilience Programme that tests out the different ways collaborative curation can provide sustainable support for marginalised artists and place the value of support for artists on nurturing process rather than outcome.

Recent projects include: Don’t Let The Bastards Grind You Down, Glasgow International 2021, Resilience Programme Takeover, Strange Field, Glasgow, 2022.

Jenny holds a degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London and a Masters in Curatorial Practice from the Glasgow School of Art.
