Judit Bodor

Judit Bodor is a curator and creative producer. She currently works at University of Dundee as a Baxter Fellow in Curatorial Practice and Programme Director of the MFA Curatorial Practice (Art & Design). She studied Art History and Arts Management and gained her practice-led curatorial PhD from Aberystwyth University through an AHRC-funded CDA with National Museum Wales  and working with Welsh artist Ivor Davies’ archive of Destruction in Art to explore curating historical performance art in contemporary museums.

Judit has over 20 years of experience as a commissioning curator and working on experimental curatorial projects in various contexts. She is interested in the role of the curator-as-companion and exhibition-as-research in disseminating underrepresented histories and practices of counter-cultural, time-based and networked art. Her recent projects include Curating Living Archives (online, since 2020), No such permanence, only becoming (Festival of Ephemeral Art, Sokołowsko, Poland, 2019)), Left Performance Histories (NGbK, Berlin 2018).

Judit is the co-founder of Gordian Projects with artists Emma Bolland and Tom Rodgers and publishes her research regularly in collaboration with artist Roddy Hunter. She is a Trustee of the Alasdair Gray Archive, Glasgow, and Generator Projects, Dundee, an Advisory Member of the ART360 Foundation and Chairs the Creative Industries Knowledge Exchange Hub at the Scottish Graduate School of Art and Humanities.
