Krupa Desai is an art historian focussing on South Asian visual culture. Her PhD research at the School of Art, Birkbeck, looked at histories of photographic perception in postcolonial India (2022). Her first stint as a curator was with the Kochi Biennial (2014) after which she worked with several public art exhibitions in Mumbai and Delhi. She was a part of the Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures program at the Furniture Gallery, V&A, London (2022). She is curating a heritage museum on anti-colonial histories in India and has recently joined the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai as an Associate Professor.
