Lesley Cheung

Lesley Cheung is an interdisciplinary producer, writer and translator, currently reading museum studies at the University of Manchester. Trained in critical theory, she is interested in discursivity, pedagogy and alternative production in art and museum practices.

For the past 12 years, Lesley has supported art research, interpretation and programmes for major museums, public institutions, festivals and community organisations in the UK and Asia. She co-founded the Hong Kong chapter of international creative network A City Made By People and curated Rituals of Passage in partnership with the University of Hong Kong, with works acquired by Asia Art Archive. She was part of the pre-opening teams of pioneering cultural infrastructures, including Factory International’s Aviva Studios in Manchester and M+ museum of visual culture in a reclaimed cultural district of Hong Kong.

Lesley is a Chartered Linguist working in English, Cantonese and Traditional Chinese. Her work of certified translation is accepted by Arts Council England.
