Peter Moore is a Curator of Collections and Interiors for English Heritage, with primary responsibility for Audley End House in Essex, and Wrest Park in Bedfordshire. His current curatorial practice interrogates the diverse and eclectic nature of country house collections, and the global narratives imbued in them.
His previous work as an art historian and curator has primarily focused on British art from the 17th century onwards, with roles at the National Gallery, National Trust, and Gainsborough’s House.
In 2013 he was awarded a PhD from the University of York for his thesis British Graphic Art 1660-1735: An Atlantic Perspective.
He leads the British Art Network affiliated research group, British Art in Historic Houses.
