Philip Agbese Jnr. is a renowned artist and the Creative Director of the Creative Arts and Visual Imagery Centre (CAVIC) in Abuja, Nigeria. A graduate in Business Management from the University of Jos, Nigeria, Philip has transformed his lifelong passion for photography and visual arts into a vibrant career. In his current role at CAVIC, he fosters a collaborative and innovative environment, enabling artists of various disciplines to hone their skills and engage in meaningful cultural dialogues. Philip’s work, rich with depth and emotion, captures the complexities of human and societal narratives. His mixed-media pieces, which incorporate photography, collage techniques, and painting, offer a poignant commentary on various aspects of contemporary life.
A member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (Abuja Chapter) and a founding member of the Arterial Network-Abuja Chapter, Philip is deeply connected to the artistic community, both in Nigeria and abroad. He has participated in several local and international exhibitions and workshops, highlighting his interest in British art, particularly in its curation and its potential for cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration.
