Rachel Stratton is a Curatorial Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Yale Center for British Art (YCBA), where she works on modern and contemporary exhibitions and collections. Rachel was an organizing curator of Bridget Riley: Perceptual Abstraction at the YCBA (2022) and co-curator of Isaac Julien: Lina Bo Bardi – A Marvellous Entanglement at Yale Architecture Gallery (2023). She has also curated numerous displays of the modern and contemporary collections at the YCBA. Rachel completed her PhD thesis, “Grammars of Form: Art and the Crisis of Language in 1950s Britain,” in 2018 at the Courtauld Institute of Art and has recently published in British Art Studies (2021), Sculpture Journal (2022), and the exhibition catalogue, Bridget Riley: Perceptual Abstraction (2022).
