Yang Li (she/her) is an interdisciplinary curator and researcher working across the UK and China. Her interest in the ‘polyphonical narrative’ structure in both exhibition making and archival practicing. She has held curatorial positions previously at Goldsmiths CCA, Tate Modern, and contributing to archival projects led by Iniva and Asia Art Archive.
Yang’s practice is emergent and interdisciplinary, formulated in integration and intervention. As a co-founder of a duo curator collective called curating matters, drawn to podcasts, publication and exhibition, she worked with multicultural background artists, tried to raise up unseen circumstances in our everyday life and then situated the artwork in the surrounding. Her recent curatorial and research focuses are neighborhood building, individual memories archiving and transnational culture.
