ECG 2024
The sixth Emerging Curators Group has been meeting regularly since January 2024, with a programme running to October 2024.
They have visited Liverpool (FACT, Bluecoat, Exhibition Research Lab at LJMU) and Bradford (Cartwright Hall, South Square Centre & Impressions Gallery), and discussed their research with BAN Convenor Martin Myrone & with independent curator Hammad Nasar. They have had an online session reflecting on non-hierarchical collaboration with Jenny Tipton (ECG 2023), with further sessions upcoming. They are receiving further support from BAN Steering Group members Rhona Sword and Basil Olton.
Three collaborative projects have been awarded funding bringing together members of the group: a research trip to Glasgow International; a knowledge exchange project around arts accessibility; and a third around archives, diaspora and activism.
